This clinic is out of network and direct access. We do not bill insurance directly, which means straightforward pricing and scheduling focused on your progress. Virginia law allows you to be seen by a licensed physical therapist without a physician referral. If you have out of network benefits, we can provide documentation to support a reimbursement claim. Coverage questions are reviewed prior to scheduling.

Alexander Degann
Clinic Director - MSOT, OTR/L, CHT
Alexander is a licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with more than 10 years of experience treating hand and upper-extremity conditions. He specializes in upper-extremity rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, nerve-related conditions, and custom orthosis fabrication.
Alexander earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Sacred Heart University, and later completed his MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business with a focus on healthcare delivery and patient-centered care.
As Clinic Director, Alexander is committed to helping patients recover function, reduce pain, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Gwynn Geiger Hegyi
COO, LMT, Massage Therapist
Gwynn is the Chief Operating Officer at BDI. She started at BDI in 2006 after a 30-year business career that included owning a grassroots consulting business. She is also a massage therapist, having graduated from Potomac Massage Training. Gwynn enjoys assisting in the management of chronic pain and recovery from orthopedic injuries, using postural charting, functional movement analysis, deep tissue and Swedish massage. The proud mother of three young adults and grandmother, Gwynn enjoys spending weekends at her family farm in Culpeper, Virginia.
Ashley Templer
DPT, OCS, MTC, Physical Therapist
Ashley is the Membership Coordinator at BDI. She is an ACSM certified personal trainer and a member of the FitRx team. She received an undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Pittsburgh and has a master's degree in health science from Trident University International. After having a baby herself, Ashley became passionate about helping otherwomen have a healthypregnancy and is now a certified Oh Baby!Prenatal Fitness Instructor. A lover of most types of exercise, Ashleyparticularly enjoys strength training and interval training, both of which she teaches at Body Dynamics. In her free time, Ashley delights in playing with her son, traveling, and cooking.

Bobby Sidney
CES, CPT, Fitness Trainer
Bobby is a private and group fitness professional. He is a NASM and EFI Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and a Performance Enhancement Specialist. Bobby danced professionally for Bowen McCauley Dance, City Dance Ensemble, and DC Dance Theatre. He is also a flight attendant with a wife and three kids.
Brian Leos
CES, CPT, LMT, Fitness Trainer & Massage Therapist
Brian is an International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, and graduate of the American Massage and Bodywork Institute in Tyson's Corner. He also has a background in martial arts and has coached amateur boxing. His experience as an athlete, trainer, and coach motivated him to take up massage therapy to better assist his clients with their preparation and recovery. Brian believes that the pursuit of physical culture in all its forms can be beneficial to everyone and that good training can help people get the most out of activities they enjoy. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, his own training, gaming, & going on walks.
Chip Coleman
NTP, Fitness Trainer
Chip is a Nutritional Therapy Consultant and Polestar Pilates certified private and group fitness trainer. He received his Bachelors in Biology from Dartmouth College before dancing professionally for 14 years with The Washington Ballet and for 3 years with The Washington National Opera. Chip joined Body Dynamics in 2008 and is excited to help clients reach health goals through his combined expertise in nutrition and fitness. Chip enjoys playing recreational tennis on the weekends and traveling internationally.
Deborah Gilpin
PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist
]Deborah has been a physical therapist for 26 years. She holds a BFA in Ballet Performance and a BA in English literature from the University of Utah and is a Certified Athletic Trainer. Prior to going to PT school, she served as an athletic trainer at Pepperdine University and worked with the basketball, waterpolo, volleyball, and baseball teams. The baseball team won the College World Series while she was with them. She holds a doctorate in physical therapy from Arcadia University and became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2013. She is so happy to be part of the physical therapy team at Body Dynamics which she joined in April 2019. Deborah has been a physical therapist for 26 years.

Anna Fiore
DPT, OCS, Physical Therapist
Dr. Fiore received her doctorate of physical therapy from Shenandoah University. She also holds undergraduate degrees in Communication Studies and Dance from the University of Iowa. During her time at Iowa, she also taught ballet, pointe, and creative movement with the university's youth dance program. She loves exploring movement from a holistic perspective for both functional and creative pursuits. Anna lives in Washington, DC and enjoys touring the city, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Grace Ball
Fitness Trainer
Grace is a certified Polestar Pilates Trainer. Grace has been a dancer for over 20 years and focuses her sessions on mindful and dynamic movement to bring strength and healing for all clientele. Grace graduated from George Mason University with a BFA in Dance before a beginning her professional dance career. Grace loves working in the open and collaborative environment at BDI. It challenges her not only intellectually and but also creatively. In addition to dancing, she also enjoys running, biking, and traveling. Grace is a certified Polestar Pilates Trainer. Jorje Villalobos
DPT, CEAS, COMT, Physical Therapist
Dr. Villalobos coordinates the industrial medicine and OrthoTriage programs at BDI. He completed his DPT through Evidence in Motion and received his MPT at East Carolina University. He joined BDI in 2015. Jorge specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle, fitting of orthotics and ergonomics education. As a collegiate competitive swimmer, triathlete, and Division 2 soccer player, he continues to be involved in soccer through local county adult leagues.
Maeve Collins Talbot
PT, DPT, CSCS
Dr. Talbot received her doctorate of physical therapy from Mary Baldwin University and her BFA in dance and choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a passion for working with performing artists of all levels which has taken her to work with artists in Richmond, Chicago, and on tour with a Broadway musical. Maeve focuses on functionality to help her clients keep doing what they love. In her free time she enjoys reading, crocheting, and traveling to new places.
Giselle the Gazelle
Falls Church Mascot
Giselle the Gazelle is the Body Dynamics mascot. She is proud to represent the BDI team spirit: community, performance, and playfulness. Giselle is always around to support you in a session or cheer you on as you strive and reach for your goals! In addition to her work in the clinic, Giselle loves traveling, photography, running, and social media. Ask her representatives (BDI’s front desk team), if you’d like to include her in your next session or take her with you on your next trip!
Marie Ten
MHS, LMT, Massage Therapist
Marie is a massage therapist at BDI and a graduate of Potomac Massage Therapy Institute trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. She enjoys working with clients who are seeking pain and tension relief and with anyone looking for a little more balance in their lives. She joined BDI in 2016. She received a Masters of Health Science from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and has worked in international public health for many years. Marie enjoys running and coxing (rowing) and spending time with her husband and son having fun, traveling, and eating.
Meg Breeden
M.ED, LPC, Counselor
Meg is a Resident in Counseling. Her M. Ed in Counseling and Development is from George Mason University, which she completed after a career as a medical meeting planner and special events manager. Meg is completing post graduate work at the Bowen Center and also works at Demeter House, a residential substance abuse program for women. At BDI since 2014, Meg helps clients explore and understand the complex relationship between emotional issues and physical challenges. Meg enjoys yoga, gardening and spending time with her husband, two children, and two step-sons.
Regina Petsche
LPC, Counselor
Regina is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a MA in Counseling from GWU and more than 6 years of postgraduate training in Bowen Family Systems Theory. She is cofounder of The Learning Space, her private practice in Washington, DC. Regina combines neurobiofeedback with counseling and family systems coaching to help clients manage emotional, social, and physical symptoms, including chronic pain. She joined BDI in 2006 and works closely with our clinicians to help clients manage the emotional aspects of physical rehabilitation. Sula Washington
Massage Therapist
Sula is a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute. She’s trained in Deep Tissue, Therapeutic, and Neuromuscular Therapy. She’s furthered her massage education learning cupping of the back and shoulders and is a certified SportStretch therapist. She is also part of the healthcare team of The Washington Ballet giving the dancers some much-needed relief. When she’s not helping people relieve their tension and bringing about more relaxation & movement in the body, she’s hiking, going to Jazz Festivals, reading, or
spending time with her family and friends.
Emily Lawyer
LPC, CSAT
A former schoolteacher, Emily has many years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. As a therapist, she collaborates with clients to empower them in their growth. Utilizing an integrative, trauma-informed approach that draws from Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT, DBT, and Narrative therapy, she is passionate about journeying with people as they find healing in a compassionate, empathic environment. Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, grief and loss through life transitions, and working with those who find themselves in unhealthy relationship patterns. Emily loves attending concerts and playing live music, reading, and spending time with friends.
